If god ever gave us chance and ask to decide which weather, summer or winter should stay for long? We are sure majority votes would fall in favour of winters. Why? Well, because it allows us to move out freely, dress up the way we want, no more need to wear smudge-free makeup and most importantly no more problem of dehydration.

Dehydration is a very common problem in summer which occurs due to our carelessness. We do not take proper care while moving out or keep ourselves hydrated and hence fall into the trap of this disorder.

We all know that dehydration is the loss of water and salts from the body. But do we really take measures to keep it at bay? No, as we have built in a habit of taking a usual amount of water which fails to protect us from the heat waves. Now neither can we stop going out nor can we every time keep on drinking water. So what can be done to keep this problem away?

Allow us to suggest you few simple tips and measures that can make your life better in this scorching heat. So all set to beat the heat? Find out the tips below-

Say No To Alcohol and Caffeine

Alcohol and caffeine take away the moisture from your body and gradually lead you towards dehydration. Hence it’s recommended that in summer you change your drinking habit to stay healthy and hydrated.


Include the intake of natural juices without added sugar. These juices not only keep you hydrated but also give your body important nutrients to keep you fresh and active.


Don’t wait to become thirsty but keep on drinking water as much as you can as it is the best thing to keep your body cool and hydrated.

Green Leaves and Fruits

Enriched with high water content green vegetables and fruits are the best thing to consume in summer. They can also be digested easily.

Avoid Fats

Try and avoid fatty foods because they take more time in digestion and their digestive process burns extra energy as well.  Also, the high salt content they carry can soak in the moisture in your body making it dehydrated.

Implementing the above-mentioned tips along with these given precautions can surely keep you healthy and hydrated in summer. Take a look-

  • Keep your body covered so that heat cannot affect you.
  • Don’t wear dark colours rather choose lighter shades so that your body doesn’t absorb enough heat.
  • Try not going out in the peak hours of the day i.e. 10am-4pm.
  • Cover your head and sun with a cotton scarf and a pair of sunglasses so that sun rays can’t harm you.
  • Don’t forget to carry a water bottle along when moving out. But make sure you don’t drink water standing in the sun as it can harm your health. Find a shady area to drink water.
